Some surveillance firms earned their bad name by tracking identities and plates, exposing a surface that puts the Fourth Amendment at risk. Echosaw Surveillance is built to recognize events – the moment something goes wrong on a road, a platform, or a parking lot – and to get help there faster.
Our position
Public-safety cameras have earned distrust because they were built to identify and track people and plates. Echosaw takes the opposite approach: we watch for events, not identities. Continuous footage from roadways, transit corridors, and other public spaces is analyzed against defined rubrics – a vehicle leaving the roadway, a collision, gunshot(s), sudden mass crowd movement – and only when an event matches does the system act, routing the flagged clip and a plain-language description to a human public safety officer for immediate review. No plate reads, no facial recognition, just a confidence scored public safety event. The public safety officer, not the algorithm, decides what happens next: dispatch EMS, notify law enforcement, or dismiss. What reaches law enforcement is original, chain-of-custody footage and a human reviewer’s account, with Echosaw serving only as the trigger that got the right person looking at the right moment.

Matthew
Founder and CEO
Matthew is the founder of Orange Sky Software and the person who designed and engineered the spatiotemporal multimodal analysis engine behind Echosaw. Before this he was an AWS Architect and the Information Security Manager for a global software firm in the U.K. That is still the job: architecture, security, production, and the call on what ships. Marketing too.
Outside of work he is on a tractor or walking through his orchard.
Cedric
Marketing & Development
Cedric is an apprentice at Echosaw. His work sits across UX, social, SEO, and SEM: the seam between the product and the people who have to find it. That is the job. He is here for the overlap of digital marketing and technology, and he is learning it on a live system before he runs a company of his own.
Outside of work he is a travel addict. Bali and Australia are next.
Devin
Parallel AI Engineers, Cognition
Devin is Cognition’s AI software engineer; not a copilot in the sidebar. At Echosaw, Devin runs as parallel engineers against a well scoped sprint: about 1–5 when it is quiet, about 5–10 when the board is heavy. Each Devin gets a task, a repo, a shell, tests, and a pull request.
Matthew decides architecture, security, and whether the change is done. Devin absorbs the volume (migrations, coverage, refactors, glue) so a smaller company can run an N-size engineering load at any instant.
