1. Purpose and Scope

This AI Use and Disclosure Policy ("Policy") outlines how Orange Sky Software Inc. ("Orange Sky," "we," "us," or "our") incorporates artificial intelligence ("AI") technologies in the Echosaw Media Intelligence product ("Echosaw" or "the Product"), our practices for responsible AI use, and our commitments to transparency and disclosure.

Echosaw is a media intelligence platform that leverages AI and machine learning to analyze, monitor, aggregate, and derive insights from media sources (including news, social media, broadcasts, and online content). AI components may include natural language processing, sentiment analysis, entity recognition, summarization, trend detection, predictive analytics, and — where applicable — generative features for report drafting, insight formulation, or content synthesis.

This Policy applies to all users (customers, subscribers, authorized users) of Echosaw ("you" or "User"), as well as to Orange Sky's internal development, deployment, and support of the Product. It supplements our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and any applicable service agreements.

2. AI Technologies Employed in Echosaw

Echosaw uses AI in the following core ways:

• Analytical and Processing AI: Machine learning models for classifying media content, extracting key entities/events, detecting sentiment/topics, identifying trends, and scoring relevance/impact. These are primarily predictive/discriminative models and do not generate new media content.
• Generative AI Features (if/when enabled): Limited use of generative models to assist in drafting summaries, insight narratives, executive briefs, or suggested alerts. Outputs are always provided as drafts or suggestions subject to human review and editing by Users or Orange Sky support teams.
• Third-Party AI Integration: Echosaw may integrate APIs or models from trusted third-party providers (e.g., for specialized NLP, translation, or image analysis). We do not use User data to train external models without explicit consent.

We do not use Echosaw outputs or User-submitted data to train or fine-tune competing AI models or for purposes unrelated to delivering and improving the Product (subject to our Privacy Policy).

3. Disclosure of AI-Generated or AI-Assisted Content

Transparency is fundamental to maintaining trust in media intelligence. We comply with applicable laws (including emerging U.S. state requirements, platform policies, and anticipated EU AI Act obligations effective 2026) and adopt best practices for disclosure.

• AI-Assisted Outputs: Any summary, insight, report section, alert narrative, or other text/content produced or materially assisted by generative AI features will include a clear disclosure. Examples include:
  • A visible label such as:
    "This section was drafted with AI assistance and has been reviewed/edited for accuracy." or "AI-generated draft — verify independently before use."
  • Placement: Immediately adjacent to or within the relevant content block, report header, or export footer.
• Fully Generative Content: If any output is substantially or wholly generated by AI (e.g., a complete narrative without material human editing), it will be prominently marked:
  "Generated by AI — Not verified as factual by human review."
• Metadata and Machine-Readable Marking: Where technically feasible, AI-generated content includes embedded metadata (e.g., indicating the AI system/version, timestamp, and unique identifier) to support detection tools and interoperability.
• Deepfakes or Synthetic Media: Echosaw does not generate synthetic media (e.g., images, audio, video deepfakes). If future features include such capabilities, mandatory clear and conspicuous labeling will apply in compliance with laws (e.g., EU AI Act Article 50, California requirements).
• Exceptions: Disclosures may be minimal for purely analytical outputs (e.g., sentiment scores, trend graphs) where AI assistance is intrinsic to the Product's core function and obvious from context.

Users are encouraged — and in many cases required by professional standards — to independently verify AI-assisted outputs before publication, dissemination, or reliance in decision-making.

4. User Responsibilities

As a User of Echosaw, you agree to:

• Review and edit any AI-assisted content before using it in public communications, reports, or decisions.
• Comply with applicable laws, industry standards, and platform policies (e.g., YouTube, Meta, X) regarding disclosure of AI-generated content when redistributing Echosaw outputs.
• Not remove, obscure, or alter any AI disclosure labels we apply.
• Report suspected inaccuracies, hallucinations, or biases in AI outputs via our support channels so we can investigate and improve models.

5. Orange Sky's Commitments

We commit to:

• Regularly auditing AI outputs for accuracy, bias, and fairness.
• Providing transparency about major model changes via product updates or changelog.
• Maintaining human oversight in critical workflows.
• Cooperating with regulatory inquiries and implementing required updates (e.g., EU AI Act transparency tools by August 2026).
• Never using User media intelligence data to train third-party foundational models without opt-in consent.

6. Updates and Contact

This Policy may be updated to reflect evolving technology, legal requirements (e.g., final EU AI Act codes, U.S. state/federal developments), or Product enhancements. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.
